Thanks to all the dads who were able to attend the WatchDOGS kick off presentation on Friday. If you missed it, you can review the slide deck here.
Volunteering will begin January 21st. As stated previously, you MUST be an approved SBISD volunteer (renewed each year) in order to be a WatchDOG. Now is the time to register if you haven’t done so this year. You can access the volunteer application here:
https://apps.raptortech.com/Ap
Once you have registered, you may use the sign up genius to choose your volunteer day. We are asking all volunteers to select ONE date for now. If after a week we still have available spots, we will open for second opportunities.
Questions about Watch DOGS? Please reach out to Linley Dieringer or Jonathan Foy.
We need your invaluable input as we choose officers for next year's PTA Executive Board. Please give careful consideration to who you believe would best serve Wilchester on the PTA Executive Board.

Your name and the information you share is kept private. You're welcome to share as much or as little information about your nominee as you would like - nominating someone only takes a few minutes! You are also welcome to nominate yourself!
We request nominations for the following positions:
- PTA President
- VP of Programs
- VP of Ways and Means
- VP of Communications
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Corresponding Secretary
Thank you on behalf of the Nominating Committee: Linley Dieringer (chair), Carrie Marshall, Beth Clarke, Alexis Valentine, Stephanie Stanley & Erin Cowling.
*** PLEASE NOTE - If you would like your submission to be anonymous (your name is not linked to it), log out of Membership Toolkit and you will be able to submit as a guest. If you choose to include your name, only the Nominating chairman and committee will have access to this information and it is strictly confidential

Bayou City Blessings in a Backpack is an organization that helps combat food insecurity in the Houston area (www.bayoucityblessings.org). Every Friday of the school year, food bag ‘blessings’ are delivered to over 2300 students in order to help 'bridge the gap' between Friday’s school lunch and Monday’s school breakfast. One of the schools Bayou City Blessings serves is Wilchester’s (new) sister school, Buffalo Creek Elementary. Each Friday, BCBB relies on volunteers to transport and deliver bags to BCE. If you’re interested in helping, please use the Sign Up Genius link below. Please complete your SBISD volunteer background check before volunteering.
We are so excited to host our 3rd annual WCE International Expo on Wednesday, February 26th. This is a fun event where our students can learn about different countries and cultures from around the globe. At the International Expo, students and their parents will be able to learn about countries around the world with tables hosted by members of the WCE community.
If you are from abroad or have considerable knowledge of a foreign country, we need your help to host a table for this fun event. Think decorations, games, amusements, food - anything that gives students a feel for the country. Each country will have their own table and the "host" family or families are welcome to decorate and turn that table into a small slice of their country.
We can't do this without the support of our amazing WCE community. Please sign up below to host a country table. Again, you don't have to be from this country, just have to be willing to host a table and share your knowledge on that country. More than one family can host a country table – teamwork is encouraged!

The 2024-2025 yearbook committee is ready to bring you an amazing yearbook this year. To do this, we need your help! If you haven't already downloaded the Balfour ImageShare app on your phone, please do. Our project number this year is 526691. This way you can upload photos from your phone and send them directly to the yearbook committee. If the app isn't working for you, you can also email pictures to wceyearbookpics@gmail.com. Please make sure to include grade level or what event the pictures are from so we can get them on the correct page.
